    Scream 7

I normally don’t log/review films before they come out, but I have to make an exception for this one.

I can’t believe the fucking evilness within Hollywood. I mean sure I’m not surprised, but I’m still angry and disgusted regardless. Like the fact they fired Melissa Barrena, the main character of this new Scream trilogy for sating she’s against genocide and yet people like Noah Zionistnap who keeps saying stuff “Zionist is sexy” and disgusting shit like that can keep…

    Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour

TW: brief mention of depression and suicide

Okay.. can I get a little personal with this entry of the eras tour? Yeah, might as well.

So I have been a fan of Taylor Swift since the original release of 1989 (I said original release because we got the re recording of it coming out in 2 weeks!) and pretty much my life has changed for the better within the last 8 years or so of being a fan of her…

    La La Land

If Whiplash shows the darker side of how one can achieve their dreams, then La La Land shows a more hopeful and optimistic side of how one can achieve their dreams. Yet both films similarly explore about one’s decision on what they can achieve and if the sacrifices they make are worth it for the betterment of their lives. Mia and Sebastian love each other and they both want to help each other achieve their individual dreams, but they also…

    Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé

I went into this film not the hugest of Beyoncé fan out there, and I came out starting to becoming one. Plus seeing this with a good audience singing and dancing and vibing to the songs made the whole experience even better. Enough said.

Oh and the Austin Powers reference she threw in during the concert was an absolute W.

    Whiplash

A cautionary tale about how far can one go into persuading their dreams and aspirations, and how does their ends can justify their means. Both Andrew and Fletcher both have their own goals and desires that collide within one another once they’re both in the same ballpark and ultimately leads into something destructive and gut ranching. Making us the viewer make us question our ways and steps to achieve our dreams and how those actions we choose can make us think about the picture outside of our own world. Incredible stuff.

    Godzilla Minus One

Me crying during a Godzilla film was not on my 2023 bingo card.

Anyway, I’m so glad I got the chance to see this as soon as I can, because I can’t tell the last time where I was in awe, shocked, moved, excited, and amazed by what I saw. Like this film has gotten everything. Truly suspenseful and terrifying action sequences, rich characters that you care about, thematic depth on survivor’s guilt, ptsd and trauma from war, the fears…
