  today i learned that my grandma watched twin peaks when it first aired and used to love it but she’d never seen the film so you know we had to sit down together and dive in! she was very confused yet fascinated by it, called sheryl lee's breathtaking performance "the highlight of this bizarre but beautiful little thing". truly never gets old, although it still hurts every single time.

  bittersweet memories…

  when the final song started playing, i broke down. a poignant and lavish portrayal of loneliness, this is sofia coppola at her most delicate and intimate. cailee spaeny is a revelation, she is marvelous. so many thoughts are running through my head right now, i'm gonna need some time to process everything… OUF!
