What Time Is It There?

What Time Is It There? ★★★★

Watching this I couldn't help but think on how strange yet effortless it was for this film to make me feel like existing in different times (Taiwan and France) is much like existing in different dimensions (living and death) and how, at our most vulnerable moments, to only exist in one of these realms leaves you to achingly obsess over the other. This is the saddest of Tsai Ming-liang's films I've watched so far.
