Unlike the respectable but ultimately bland Freddy's Revenge, Dream Warriors deftly walks the tighrope between compelling allegory and terrifying horror. It brilliantly understands the adolescent psyche, embodying some of our greatest fears and desires into a truly masterful frightfest that strikes the perfect balance of youthful innocence and mature cynicism. It also escapes the cliche of annoying stereotypes so inherent to slasher films, and gives every single character their chance to shine. It can be extremely cheesy at times but it never fails to be a blast. Almost as good as the first one.
