    “Tuberculosis on legs”

    Overall I enjoyed going back to Panem, even though it is always traumatizing being there. I did feel that I could’ve had more building of the arcs and characters and even though the run time is long I felt like things were rushed.

    An immense steamroller of a film. With piercing subtlety, this haunting epic takes us to a dark place exploring business, religion, and above all else, greed. Daniel Day-Lewis is quite brilliant and dominates every scene he appears in, he matches the majesty of the wild scenery and industrial landscapes so startling depicted. The score is an important part of this film and dives the narrative to such an extent that it made me feel uneasy at times.
