I’ve always felt that cinema, more so than any other form of art, can best capture life. I think that’s doubly true in ‘naturalistic filmmaking’. Rocks does it perfectly. The characters ARE real, the dialogue IS realistic, the camera shots and movements are understated and still manage to draw you into the film. It’s just so fucking good. I always struggle to explain my feelings on films when they’re THIS good but jesus, Rocks is a masterpiece.
