    It’s important to remember, this film isn’t a biography. Similar to last year’s Spencer and - to a lesser extent - this year’s Moonage Daydream, Blonde functions as an attempt to understand the inner workings of an icon, not the star. It’s fiction. Interpretation. It’s an expressionist take on that interpretative fiction. 

    Trying to write this is difficult. The film is so overwrought, ideas are there but hard to formulate. Credit goes to Dominik and his team, it’s an alienating…
