Gather around for a story! As a kid I never got into horror movies, as at a young age I was easily frightened. As I grew older I detested horror films as many became far more focused on jump scares.

It wasn’t until years later when I watched films like The Shining and Hereditary which were both quite scary, not because of jump scares, but because they managed to craft unnerving and tense atmospheres which wouldn’t let go of you long after the credits rolled.

I’ve made this list to showcase some films I plan on watching to further indulge and experience these horror legends.
