Wealth and religion as a fuel for comedy and satire. Honestly I had some good laughs. It's definitely over-the-top but I can see why Brazilians love it so much. Jack the Cricket is a legend, and the courtroom scene is hilarious.

If I were to a draw parallels to the discourse about this movie on Letterboxd, the Devil would be the annoyed viewers on how this is ranked at #8, Virgin Mary are the Brazilians confessing their love for it, and I'm just Jesus enjoying the show and not taking it all too serious.
