so many people at the peak of their powers. ruffalo, gyllenhaal, non-iron man downey, and arguably even fincher. in the wrong hands, this may be a dumpster fire. the way it transitions from character to character in each act is brilliant and so tough to pull off.
when people say filmmaking was far, far superior in the 80s and 90s, i remind myself that that's not necessarily true because of films like this. an absolutely iconic film.
