    The Card Counter

    Massive misfire from Schrader.

  • Malignant

100% unhinged - I've never seen anything quite like this. I'm obsessed with the scares, the chase sequence, the visuals, and really everything about this concept - it's goofy and terrifying in such a Wan-specific way.

  • MouseHunt

    Top 5 thriller all time

  • Demonic

Brimming with stupid, wonderful ideas and much closer to pulling them off than the cadre of awful reviews would indicate.

SWAT units of exorcist priests, a giant raven demon monster, some classic blomkamp gimmick technology that (as always) actually ended up being very cool, and yet none of it is as big, bold, or ridiculous as it needed to be.

  • Candyman

Not enough Tony Todd tbh, otherwise pretty damn great

  • Reminiscence

    Empty garbage, everyone deserved better.

  • Annette

Completely arresting and discombobulating in none of the ways I was expecting and all the ways I wasn't. The pacing is a little hurried, but that's understandable for such a dense, screwy movie.

    Six fucking car lengths!

  • The Green Knight

    The Green Knight

This is unflinchingly Lowery, and as such it might keep some people at arm's length, but I think this will only get better with age. The style is as scuzzy as it is medieval, the tone as jovial and meandering as it is ominous and ethereal - loved everything about this tbh.

  • Old

There's only one person on Earth who could even make this movie, let's appreciate him!
