Classic and gritty noir classic that showcases Billy Wilder doing what he does best. What an incredible screen play filled with so many quotables and so much suspense. While Barbara Stanwyck was outstanding in this ( her smile gradually increasing in satisfaction as her husband is getting killed >> ) Edward G Robinson absolutely deserves the MVP Award for his performance who delivers his lines with such a special energy they always enhance any film.
My only problems with Double Indemnity were Fred MacMurray and his "baby "usage. I think that will give me nightmares for the rest of the week..
