Blake told me she wanted a movie playing in the background for her birthday party so I suggested Barbarian. She told me that was not the vibe for party as she will be playing female pop anthems all night. So I was like you know what would go perfectly w that - Booksmart.
We then rented it from the library and watched it yesterday. Still just as good as it always is. Perfectly blends genres while juggling a large cast of characters - honestly quite remarkable as this was olivia wilde’s debut. i’ll say it: perfect movie.

there’s a scene in the beginning where the bartender says to nick you should fuck the shit out of her and then slap her with your dick. we later find out that is his twin sister. we then get a cameo from gibby’s gf and madea. great movie.

4/4 times I have watched this on Taco Tuesday. I think that is quite special. The most rewatchable film of the year imo. Just a flat out good time. Been watching white lotus lately and I am getting sick of the "eat the rich" genre. Like they are all good but let's move on. This one is my favorite of the bunch.
