Libby Caldwell’s review published on Letterboxd:
Made me realise how I’ve hardly ever seen films that take place in a historical time period in another language.
I loved how personal it was on the theme of violence and it seems so timeless, I genuinely can’t believe it was made when it was.
I don’t think watching this over three sittings helped with the runtime so I’m probably going to revisit this sometime over the next year to revise my rating. Right now it’s probably the highest 3.5 I’ve ever given, I think I was just too tired to properly appreciate it this time round.
