  Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters 1985

  I tried to write about this multiple times, but for now the words aren’t coming for what I want to say, and that’s ok. Seeing this in theaters made the score, the color, and the set design that much more incredible, and it was insanely cool to hear Paul Schrader talk afterwards. Now I want to start watching more movies again.

  I bought this on dvd at Barnes and noble Bc there was no other way to watch it and a guy near me saw and did a Nic cage impression of the line where he says “this is a snakeskin jacket! And it’s a symbol of my individuality and belief in personal freedom!”

  I loved almost every minute of this, it felt like a breath of fresh air in, and possibly a reinvention of, a genre that some may say is on its heels. Awe inspiring on a level close to 2001, with amazing performances especially from Timothee, and great worldbuilding. Can’t wait for part 2
