Speak No Evil

Speak No Evil ★★★★

I want to emphasize that the next few sentences should be read in the loudest, most blood curdling mental voice you can conjure:
WHY IN THE EVER LOVING FUCK WOULD YOU NOT LEAVE AFTER FINDING THE RABBIT????? YOU HAD YOUR SHIT PACKED, COATS ON, CAR RUNNING. YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKERS REALLY DID LET THEM DO ALL OF THAT TO YOU. TEACH YOUR KIDS TO KEEP TRACK OF THEIR SHIT! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ahem. Despite what you just read, I did in fact really enjoy(?) this. I forgot just how much I love a good disturbing film. Unbelievably infuriating and anxiety inducing, and the performances were STELLAR. This is unironically the perfect cautionary tale for why it's so important to set boundaries and stick to them.
Absolutely no clue why blumhouse has decided to make an American version though. The movie is 95% english anyway, and there's not a single aspect of it that will be improved by a hollywood remake with A-list actors. I mean I love James McAvoy, but fuck off with that shit. Leave the disturbing foreign films alone P L E A S E
