Song to Song 2017
Half my theater was miserable or laughing throughout the film and mocked it while walking out of the theater. But Malick & Lubezki could make a film that consisted of nothing more than flies swarming around a pile of dog shit and I would still consider it art. So naturally I loved this. Fuck what anyone else thinks.
This might actually be my favorite Malick film, but it's very difficult for me to even choose a favorite. Everything he does is completely mesmerizing that I'd almost feel bad to say that I liked one of his films more than the rest of his filmography.

Oppenheimer 2023
The best part about all the “Barbenheimer” memes is that both movies ultimately lived up to the hype. We got two masterpieces on the same day. What a time to be alive!
