I enjoyed this a lot more the second time around! In general I've been thinking about Studio Ghibli films a lot lately, and when I asked on my Instagram what people's favourite Ghibli film is, this one came up more than any others. I think the saturation of marathoning so many Ghibli films last year resulted in me appreciating some of the films less than I would've otherwise. It has been a while since I last relaxed and watched a Ghibli film and for me this really hit the spot. Gorgeous animation, adorable characters and a compelling story. The narrative felt a lot more natural when I knew its beats and what to expect. It just made me happy! I'm glad I checked this out again.
