Sam Muñoz’s review published on Letterboxd:
The general consensus of this movie from critics is "good, but not as good as the first" and I have to agree. This one is way too ambitious for its own good, especially when it comes to the antagonist's powers and implications of his motivations/backstory. It's kind of crazy. This also doesn't have as good of a soundtrack as the first. But it makes up for it by giving minor characters like Yondu and Nebula meatier roles this time and still manages to give every single character their time to shine. It also has way more jokes than the first, and even though not all the jokes work, enough work to the point where this is one the funniest Marvel movies to date.
