Alex Leonce’s review published on Letterboxd:
Powerful, impactful, angering, timely and impeccably crafted, Judas and the Black Messiah doesn't hold back any punches, with its vital storytelling.
The ensemble cast soar, but Daniel Kaluuya, Lakeith Stanfield, and the understated Dominique Fishback are FUCKING incredible in their roles, Shaka King's direction is superb, along with Sean Bobitt's cinematography (Bobitt and Kaluuya mesh so well, as their last meetup, was in Steve McQueen's Widows), and the score is effective.
Easily a 2021 highlight, and the best WB movie thus far (fuck Locked Down and The Little Things, lol).
