SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGNED OF THE TEN RINGS felt like a breath of fresh air in the recent MCU canon. Steeped in family history and legends, I was really into this film at the start. It also has one of the best MCU action sequences in a long time (the bus sequence). The introduction of Shang-Chi and his origin story were quite engaging.
Where this film started to stray for me is when it headed more towards being a typical MCU movie. Like most of them, the BIG final fight sequence was pretty anti-climatic (and too dark to really see what was going on).
