The first act is brutally boring, the second is a bit better thanks mostly to Florence Pugh (Rachel Weisz is inexplicably a charisma black hole??), and the third is the strongest with a genuinely exciting skydiving finale. Selena Kyle showing up in the credits scene was a huge positive too. Still, there’s absolutely no reason for this to be over 90 minutes.
So uninspired. I didn’t think it was the absolute disaster that some feel it was, as I found Gal Gadot quite decent for once (she actually showed emotion once or twice!), and the “superhero loses his/her powers” dynamic was good on paper.
The action sequences were dry and poorly choreographed, the non-action sequences (most of the film) were boring and glacially paced, Gadot and Pine still have no chemistry, the breakdown of society was highly contrived, and the central…
