Casino Royale gives you everything you could ask for from an action film. A smart, well-executed plot, a fast pace that never allows the film to drag, great acting performances, multi-layered characters, and oh yeah, amazing action. Everything, from the parkour sequence at the beginning of the film to Bond’s race to save Vesper near the end, is wonderfully directed and choreographed. Daniel Craig is sensational as James Bond and Eva Green is right there with him, delivering a solid performance herself. This is a phenomenal film, and any modern action director could learn from its prowess.
