Okay so this was a delightfully sensational surprise. Boiling Point is evidence of how to master the one-shot film and still maintain the exhilarating performance from its lead in Stephen Graham. We weave in and out of different scenarios to perfection and it really gives you a sense of environment and the battles of some of the characters. You do get a real sense of chaos.
Technically it’s a marvel, but I would say it could have gone further for another 20-minutes to round off some narrative plots that I feel only just scratched the surface. I would go as far as saying sometimes it came across a bit too vague and there are moments of overacting/mellow drama, but Graham really does drive the film forwards effortlessly and is totally believable within this role.
