Another Hellraiser sequel made as a cop procedural?? Gotta give some credit for actually playing around with the lore unlike the others, but 81 minutes of boring cop banter is just as boring as it was in 5 and 6

The sexual abuse imagery becomes more apparent every rewatch. The elevator scene intercutting with Danny screaming is something that never really occurred to me as being symbolic of Jack’s abuse of his son until now. This sort of suggestive imagery in this film was always subconsciously apparent to me - especially during Jack’s “talk” with Danny - but it was always too disturbing for me to think about. This interpretation makes the ending much better imo with Danny finally escaping…
