There were several scenes that were so painfully verbose with Eichner’s rapid-fire dialogue spilling out that I found myself holding my breath. Some laugh out loud moments (thankfully, not ALL found in the trailer!) sprinkled throughout kept me just engaged enough, but I felt a bit exhausted by the end and grateful for the lights to come back on in the theatre. Didn’t take me on the romcom ride I expected.
