DANIEL. FUCKING. KALUUYA.
I mean, this is incredible. I absolutely cannot wait to watch this in theatres because it is a film with a story that demands a big screen to be presented on. Besides a couple of pacing issues I had which I’m sure will be fixed during my next watch, this was an enthralling film wonderfully directed by Shaka King. Daniel Kaluuya owns every single moment he’s in frame, and Lakeith Stanfield is fantastic too. Even if you know how Fred Hampton’s story plays out, you’ll be captivated by this. Powerful, tragic, and furious. I won’t be forgetting about it anytime soon.
