Such a goofy movie but andrew has so much fun as peter parker and i had a lot of fun!! love the pov sequences and the design of the suit. honestly a blast, a great little nostalgia trip even if it doesn’t always hold up!

  • Anima

I love the world that PTA constructs in this. The visual style and environments totally match the sound of Yorke’s music. Some really stunning choreography. Would love to get an inside look at that way some of this was shot, especially when it comes to what appears to be rotating sets (?). Anyway these two are a total dream team for me and I could watch this over and over.

this is definitely a movie that relies heavily on nostalgia and the viewer’s knowledge of popular culture. Without that, it’s a shell of a story.

    Things I liked:

    • The way things are left off for Holland’s Spider-Man. The character is given a fresh start to re-develop and have a lower-stakes sequel

    • I’m a sucker for the nostalgia bait. I loved seeing all of the different spider-mans together, and willem dafoe, alfred molina, and jk simmons clearly had a lot…

Lana took $200 million from Warner Brothers and used it to direct a batshit insane, super meta fanfiction of her own movie and you have to respect it.

    Things I liked:

    • Neo and Trinity’s romance works better here than it has in any other Matrix movie. The emotional beats land there.

    • NPH makes a pretty compelling villain, and I like the look of his “bullet time” power.

    • The meta commentary works. It’s so on the nose, but…
