This is such a nasty revenge thriller, it's violence uncompromising and raw yet the motivation for it all is unknown to us. As things become clearer it somehow gets darker.

The rule of thumb for sequels is true here, it's the first film but more. There's more Mick, there's more gore, there's more comedy, there's more chase scenes. It's still got that sick dark humour at it's core which is perhaps more important than the brutal kills. I can't say it's better than the first film but it's definitely more.

I liked the aesthetics but not being familiar with the character I wasn't overly invested in the story. It's also hard to care about DC right now not knowing what is going to happen to some of the lower level superheros.

I was impressed that they managed to make the 'Outnumbered' formula work in a feature film, especially with such heavy themes. Very funny but also very poignant.
