Apollo 10½: A Space Age Childhood 2022
While I did find much of Apollo 10 1/2 charming, it was a bit thin in its premise and felt sort of half-baked. I couldn’t help but compare it to Waking Life, Linklater’s first go at this animation style, which was brimming with creativity and took a lot of big, peculiar swings, anything but straightforward and ordinary.

The Power of the Dog 2021
A slow burn—continually deepening, deliberately confounding—that kept on smoldering in my mind long after I’d finished watching. Exceptional performances from all four principles. Gorgeously shot, eerily scored, and masterfully directed.
