    Hooptober #6: 1 LGBTQ+ connected film (1/1)

Needed more meat on its bones to really resonate (the relationship between Heather and her dad holds more emotional weight than the one between Heather and Jonny), but I’m sure this will be important to someone who will see their story and internal struggles in the film. Bobbi Salvör Menuez is someone to watch.

The best things I can say about Bad Things is that I desperately need Hari Nef’s Hole longsleeve and Molly Ringwald looks gorgeous in red. Other than that this is basically a pastiche of The Shining on too much Ambien.

The Langoliers is one of those movies my dad and sister would always watch together whenever I wasn't there for some reason. Going to hazard a guess that the original TV movie isn't as cool as this. Very similar to Peter Tscherkassky transformative approach to Sidney J. Furie's The Entity with Outer Space. Dug it.

I love this version of Cinderella, she's a dirty little gremlin who runs around shooting crows with a crossbow and she calls the prince an asshole. The caucasity of this bitch! We have to stan!

    Or, Mulholland Hard Drive.

Hard to believe this didn't share any creative staff with Evangelion, but I guess there was something in the atmosphere of the late nineties/post-Eva that kept churning out top tier shit. This is absolutely one of them,

Fun fact, I was halfway through this when I got an email inquiring about doing a peer-review of an article on Lain. I have never been more excited to read a fucking draft bitch.
