Mix sleezy cop procedural with sleezy slasher and you get this special sleezy cinema gem where ol’ Charlie Bronson mistakes quiche for pie!

Totally fine. Wanted this to be better but didn’t mind what I got. Hoping major studios start cranking out more of these easy, fun popcorn flicks regularly again.

Came for Shia and the tennis, stayed for the cinematography and the fashion. Incredibly solid little gem.

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022

Felt like I watched a different movie than everyone else. The fight scenes are great but everything else is a total cop out, legitimately nothing new, funny or original here, haven’t we done the multiverse thing enough? This is far too long and way too heavy handed. Offensively creates a cynical Matrix, missing everything beautiful about the franchise, and then filters it through those annoying Skittles commercials. This confirms that I hate the Daniel’s work and that I need to…

Sofia’s masterpiece and probably Bill’s best. One of the great opening shots in film too.

Totally adequate but too long British WWII cinema

    Freddy vs. Jason 2003

    ★★★½ Watched by K. 13 May 2022

Way more fun than I remembered, shot like more of an action movie than a horror movie but it works for this and assists in it totally nails what it’s going for. One of the few cross overs/IP mash ups that I’ve really enjoyed.

Some Raimi fun but it’s not enough to save another IP recognition/building for the next installment script. These have become such a slog and the multiverse makes it all of no real consequence. I am into this exposing a younger generation to Evil Dead and getting Sam a fat check to update his pool with or whatever he wants to do these days.

    You've Got Mail 1998

    ★★★★ Rewatched by K. 07 May 2022

Nora Ephron’s The Shop Around the Corner. Doubles as one of the all time great rom coms, as well as an essential comfort movie and it knows the importance of The Godfather, what’s not to love? Ephron’s best work.
