seventh episode of Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities
The Viewing (2022) brings us a constant clash of identities when people who are extremely different from each other begin to put into practice their life dilemmas with each other, your dreams, ambitions and realities today, all of this complemented by an extraordinary sharing of actors in the opposite direction, where each one complements by being naturally opposed to what the others at the table defend or do not defend. After this psychic journey about life as a whole, we are introduced to the real reason why those people were there, and that's when maybe things get a little out of place, mainly taking into account that the episode until then, if it wasn't about that, and yes about the why of it all, I really expected a better, more ambitious and more exciting response from the audience, however, as we are talking about a horror series, it should look like one even in an episode where its basic plot does not fit in the context of the overall work.
