Well, I also like rainy days and movies 🎬
"Kill me. At least God, whom I implore, will pity me. Kill me but don't dishonor me."
I didn't rewatch it (and I don't think I could ever watch it again) but I've been reading lately, some poems by Pasolini. He was a great poet and his multifaceted personality is admirable.
"Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma" reminds me the structure of Dante's Divine Comedy.
It's one of those films that you either love it or hate it.
That despised cigarette in the final scene must have tasted like heaven. He might have felt the real distance (uzak), finally at peace with himself, with his empty soul and his lost inspiration, not pretending to be an intellectual, or as if he enjoys Tarkovsky movies as we saw some sequences of Stalker and The mirror. On that bench, in the wind, in front of the sea ... he has accepted his own soul full of flaws.
