There are a lot of movies about dead women during their lifetime; Spencer is especially haunting because it feels like a movie about a woman who is already dead. Larrain gets campy with it, but the Q&A last night made me think even he doesn't realize JUST how campy it is, beyond the comical curveball towards the end. Allows Kristen Stewart to do her micro acting in every twitch and gaze (Assayas once told me she acts even with her fingers; it's true). Spall and Hawkins are just as fantastic.
