I've finally seen it, the discourse movie of last year. Now I'm thinking: that's it? This is the movie that had people furiously mad? I scrolled through a couple of the most popular reviews and if you'd read them without having seen the movie one would be lead to believe that this is a crime against humanity beyond comparison.
It's a tough, uncomfortable watch, I'll give you that but - really? This much outrage? I guess it's because Marilyn is such an iconic figure and because, frankly, Dominik didn't exactly do himself any favours with his press tour. Not gonna go into that here.
I found myself being in awe of the filmmaking on display and Ana de Armas. It was an experience and it was something different. Some parts I could've done without but this was quite good imo! Not worth this much drama!
