KMOKLER’s review published on Letterboxd:
Willy Wonka: There's no earthly way of knowing/Which direction they are going... There's no knowing where they're rowing...
Mr. Salt: [weakly echoing] Rowing...
Willy Wonka: Or which way the river's flowing... Is it raining, is it snowing?/Is a hurricane a-blowing?
Willy Wonka: Not a speck of light is showing/So the danger must be growing... Are the fires of Hell a-glowing?/Is the grisly Reaper mowing?/Yes! The danger must be growing/'Cause the rowers keep on rowing/
Willy Wonka: And they're certainly not showing/Any sign that they are slowing!
[lets out a high-pitched, almost unearthly scream]
One of the best movies ever made, I don't know why I'm not giving this five stars but I'm just not 100% sure its perfect but its a damn good movie, this movie is beautiful, its also very creepy behind all the magic and fun in this movie there's a horror movie, I mean the tunnel scene, these kids getting picked off one by one, nobody every goes in nobody ever comes out, there's even a theory that Willy Wanker I mean Wonka sorry was a psychopath (I know it sounds silly but it's true. The reason I love this movie is for all those reasons its magic, fun, creepy, all the child actors are phenomenal and Gene Wilder is also phenomenal of course and the songs in this movie are extremely catchy (I love them) and the ways in which the kid's get picked off one by one is cool, clever and just crazy. This is an awesome movie that everybody should experience, also the book is an enjoyable read.
