Letterboxd — Your life in film

Truman Show meets Pleasantville meets GTA meets Groundhog Day meets meets meets...ironically its message is about the value of original ideas while it's a big ole Frankenstein.

One of those endings that ruins the whole movie.

There is literally nothing new in this movie.

A sappy mess.

A truly beautiful spectacle that gets a little bit worse every time DeHaan or Delevingne deliver a line.

A fine vehicle for a spectacular film-debut performance from Edward Norton but as a court-room drama it's laughably unrealistic and flat.

All the director and story direction drama aside, it was honestly just plain boring and unremarkable.

McKay mistakenly commits the first half to Cheney's relatively uninteresting life prior to becoming veep, which makes it tough to get to the more compelling second half, but I admire some of the risks McKay took in his filmmaking, though most weren't pulled off.

This movie is such a mess but is still worth it for Zoey Deutch, the most charismatic young actress around.

This novel deserves such a better adaptation, I anxiously await the inevitable remake.

A well-acted and well-shot but ultimately derivative space horror that flies in the face of the pure ingenuity of the two previous iterations.

A decent attempt at a modern version of a Monty Python type historic parody but falls short with low joke density.
