  everything you could ask of a mid-century psychosexual melodrama: shoulder pads, latent homosexuality, lurid technicolor, incest, overwrought violins, conniving milfs. everything except a good leading lady. lizabeth scott plays the world's oldest schoolgirl and cannot act her way out of a paper bag. love and light.
