So much better on a rewatch. I love this film, the story, the characters and the visuals are all top of the line and they clear all other blockbusters from this century. I'm currently on my way to the cinema to see Part 2 I can't wait. Villeneuve is easily one of the best directors working today and in 80 years when this becomes the Citizen Kane of this generation I'll be able to say I went to see it…
A fun little rom com full of heart. The writing was absolutely atrocious and the acting wasn't great either. There were one or two funny moments but other than that it was annoying and cringey. I will bump it up half a star for the use of one of my favourite songs ever Unwritten.
What a masterpiece! There is certainly a lot to unpack here but first of all my oh my what a fabulous performance from Emma Stone. Bravo! Her ability to portray the childlike wonder of a little girl especially within the first 30 minutes of the film truly portray her incredible acting talent. To be honest the performances were marvellous across the board with some beautiful emotional scenes with Buffalo and Dafoe.
I am writing this waiting to be picked up…
This is phenomenal, it seriously gives Singing in the rain a run for its money, some of the final song (A world of your imagination) had the entire audience singing along together, a fabulous experience at the cinema, probably the best I've ever had.
9/10 for the movie 11/10 for the experience
