Jason Momoa had so much fun in this movie. I wish I had as much fun watching it.

He’s the bright spot in a film that I think is self aware enough that it’s shitty and in the same breath also wants to be taken seriously but you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Maybe it’s cuz I haven’t seen enough of these but I don’t know why anyone is doing anything half the time and the absurdity of every cgi-algorithm generated action sequence grows by the minute.

Incredibly fun. Love the look of the vampires and the chaos of the third act. Was not expecting Savini to be the star of the show, but here we are.

After the first trailer dropped my expectations went through the floor, but was thrilled to see the many early lauding reactions and the subsequent trailers got me back on board. First watch definitely went pretty hard, but rewatch certified this as a total banger IMO. Right out the gate this is the perfect blend of Raimi/Alvarez (also maybe the best title sequence ever?), it’s not a game-changer or anything but it’s wicked, lean/mean, loud, and drenched in the red stuff.…

The Cheetos of movies. Cheesy, crunchy, and takes you back to a nostalgic place full of vcrs and CRT TVs that could hide some bad cgi.

But even then it’s one of the best anthology horror movies made and even more so compared to the majority of awful 90s horror created during this decade. And touched on some social issues in a clever way without being too after school special on us.

Corbin Bernsen and Clarence Williams III are scene stealers and gloriously over the top. David Alan Grier who we typically associate with comedy is a menacing force in his story.

    Jaws for douchebags.

The gore and the complete chaos of the last twenty minutes almost, ALMOST makes this bearable, but ya, this is a certified stinker.
Some cool kills though, that propellor scalping is gnarly lol
