I almost appreciated the incoherent faux-latter-day-Malick editing style at the start, Cillian’s face, ridiculous helicopter shots of university buildings and ''poetic'' flourishes of flames and vfx quantum realm stuff. It felt as if Nolan had finally embraced his incompetence at using basic cinematic language. But no. Probably the most accurate and important depiction of what it's like to live in the 21th century, with your head halfway up your own ass, having consumed way too much fiction and longing for something meaningful to happen and make sense of things.
