Halloween

Halloween

I'd seen this before but I don't think I really 'got' it until now. That's what I get for only half paying attention last time.

Carpenter's control of the blocking and camera movement is absolutely unreal. The tension and spooks still hold up too which is no small feat considering pretty much every beat in this movie has been aped a thousand times over by every subsequent horror film. Curtis is great and Pleasance is like, note perfect. Not to mention the main theme is one of the all time film bangers. What's not to love??
