It Waits 2005
Cool poster. Makes it seem like this is a cult 80s flick. In reality it's like a diet VOD movie, that's pretending to be about faith, alcoholism, and a monster. I don't know what the fuck they were thinking. The poster designer did a great job. Keep on doing what you do (poster designer).

I was obsessed with this in high school. Even with the lower production value. -

Shame 2011
One of my favorite films ever. Michael Fassbender is a powerhouse of subtle quiet, obsession, and sadness. Carey Mulligan's supporting performance brings optimism, trauma, love, and depression. The brooding and emotional score adds to the rich layers of visual storytelling in Sean Bobbitt's cinematography. With a great script and incredible directing from Steve McQueen. Shame is an absolute masterpiece of cinema to me.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish 2022
Some may say the story or messages have been done before.
I wouldn't exactly disagree.
This is how I've felt since I watched this for the first time.
This is the Everything Everywhere All at Once of animated films. Not because they share all the same story beats. Just because the feeling I felt after leaving both, I just wanted to see it again, and I felt like I'd just watched something that might be my generation's new Shrek or Lion King.

The Great Wolf Pack: A Call to Adventure 2022
This is a surprisingly alright kids film.
It's shocking good for a film made by a resort chain. I expected nothing of this.
It's obvious and predictable most of the time, but I don't remember any poor performances.
