"It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day."

    His name is Jeff.

I avoided this over the past few weeks because I was kind of nervous I wasn't going to like it. But as CHAPPIE proved a few weeks ago, I'll go for anything with a neat robit in it. Great stuff. Garfield blows it out of the water. Bradley Whitford completely inhabits Sondheim. Can't believe Larson would have scooped my beloved SOUTHLAND TALES by over a decade.

Lots of cameos ranging from "pretty fun" to "much too much" but Dave Malloy at the composer workshop knocked me right out. Danny Burstein, please do more movies.
