Choof. Not good. At all. Though it isn't as apocalyptically bad as it's been hyped, there are some real depressing IP references and jokes throughout. There are a couple of simple fixes you could have made to thsi movie and it would have been an easy mediocre hit.
1) Let LeBron be himself. He's a likable guy! He's smart and cares about kids! Don't make him be some bad stock dad character who can't see his son is about to…
MJ is hilarious but only because he's giving late-period Bruce Willis levels of effort into his performance. It feels like he was doing one long Hanes commercial basically.
The Looney Toons are legitimately great and it was good to see them doing them. Good gags all around.
Stacked supporting cast in Murray, Bird, Knight, DeVito is a murderers row before you even get to the current ballers.

It's a literal happy place I can go to when I'm feeling down. The joy, the craft, the talent, the skill, and most importantly the JOY that is on display is jaw-dropping. Or, my jaw WOULD be dropped if I weren't too busy dancing along. Love you David, Miss you Jonathan.
