    The first of the Ealing comedies. Really good and the locations are amazing. It was filmed in London in the wreckage left by the blitz. Worth watching just for that.

    I love In Bruges. What's not to love? Hit men, accents, great dialogue, and a cocaine-induced rant about Helter Skelter among midgets. In Bruges has all this and some actual depth. Colin Farrell and Brendon Gleeson play off each other beautifully and Ralph Fiennes threatens deliciously. The Carter Burwell theme is simple without being stark. In Bruges is a great buddy movie. The Midnight Run of hit man movies set in Belgium.
