While filled with a great performance from Fraser this movie is filled with moments of actual genuine good. The problem is that it's filled with moments of genuine ugliness. And I don't feel it's for the benefit of the movie.
Jeez this by far the absolute worst movie about depression. So many issues with this whole thing. Great actors giving the most cringe worthy performances. Depression is real and people suffer from it but this dramatization is full of Hollywoodisms that are absolutely awful. Also what the actual fuck is with the handycam camera work I feel increasingly uncomfortable when the damn thing moves, maybe that was intentional but the idea of this being a play makes it ten times worse.
