Blade Runner

Blade Runner ★★★★½

“Not very sporting to fire on an unarmed opponent.”

This film was directed by Ridley Scott and stars Harrison Ford, Sean Young, and Rutger Hauer

The Final Cut Review.

This movie is just so fantastic, it’s a movie where if you don’t pay any attention to every littlest detail or piece of dialogue your probably not going to enjoy it at all. This is probably Ridley Scott’s best film right under Alien, the world he created is mind blowing. Harrison Ford turns in a perfect performance as Deckard, a retired “Blade Runner” who is forced to come back for a job by the police. He is assigned to eliminate four escaped Replicants from the colonies who have returned to Earth, the plot is so well executed. Vangelis's score is one of the best I’ve heard in a while, it fits perfectly in the film, and immediately sets the tone for the movie.

“Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it?”

As far as Sci-Fi action thrillers go, this is one of the best, the world Ridley Scott created is unlike anything that came before it. One of the best parts of this movie is the city, it’s a character in itself, sometimes I found myself getting mesmerized by the amount of detail in the background of scenes. The characters, acting, and practical effects for this movie are all just perfect, I would honestly consider them groundbreaking for the time. The movie is very dark, the atmosphere and characters Ridley Scott created are really intriguing, the story is so spectacular and when I put the twist together in the end of the film I was blown away.

Overall Ridley Scott created one of the GREATEST Sci-fi movies of all time.

9/10

“I’ve done questionable things.”
