Just logging this cause the guy in front of me on the plane to Boston watched this except I’m pretty sure he was Mormon cause we were coming from Salt Lake City, and he would skip every slightly sexual scene lol. He was cracking up at the movie but any time Steve Carrell got past first base he’d skip and shake his head. After the movie finished he started Casino Royale, watched the first 5 minutes or so then started skipping around. He skipped straight to a sex scene which made him freak out for a second.

    Great film! 😁

Probably the best 2D animation I’ve ever seen. Great music too. The story wasn’t totally airtight and some character motivations weren’t clear but overall great.

Also shoutout to both HBO Max AND Prime Video for only having the English dubbed version available. Awesome.

8/10 idk maybe it’ll go up when I can watch it without hearing Jake the dog’s voice for 2 hours.

Interesting documentary about Mark Zuckerberg (played by Nathan Fielder) rock climbing with no rope. Only real complaint is it wasn’t presented in a super interesting or unique way or anything, until the last 20 minutes where it was very visually interesting. Best parts of the movie is when MZJ (played by NF) talks about his girlfriend. 🥰🥰🥰

Almost as good as the 2005 production with Larry David and Ben Stiller/David Schwimmer.

Some songs had super creative cinematography and design choices. Some were kinda generic. All the unison dancing was pretty cool to watch. Some of the editing and choreography felt kinda Baby Driver inspired. The first hour was more creative and fresh than the second imo. There were some dumb generic plot stuff that kinda bugged me later on too. I don’t think I’d rewatch the whole movie again, but I’d certainly rewatch some of the better choreography sequences.

Creative idea for a movie. Cast was mostly good. Jason Bateman played Jason Bateman well. The character that played his brother seriously was just Robert Forster but younger. It was insane.

Pretty cool cinematography for a comedy movie like this. In some shots, they filmed the scene to make it look miniature, which fits with the board game theme. There were also board game references throughout the film which weren’t too obvious. I only realized a few after finishing the…

Who cares, I mean really. The whole time watching this I wished I was watching a better movie. You could cut out half the scenes and it’d virtually be the same film.

Also the evil goop is like Venommmmmm.

    3/10

BOP’s idea of women empowerment is having women characters win fist fights against men every time, rather than, you know, actually writing well rounded characters. These matchups got so absurd at one point that a 45 year old woman wins a fight against two 250 pound beefcakes. When you make LITERALLY every woman win every fight against every man it just makes the audience not take it seriously, undermining the point of them winning in the first place. They don’t…
