Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ★★★★½

Rewatching MCU chronologically #12

“He may have been your father, boy. But he wasn’t your daddy. I’m sorry I didn’t do none of it right. I’m damn lucky you’re my boy.” - Yondu

Additional 1/2 for making me cry again.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opening sequence was one of the best! Baby Groot dancing in the beginning of this film was a massive boost of serotonin! Cuteness overload!

Quill coping with music was definitely relatable! Gamora and Nebula scenes were amazing. The part where they’re arguing then ends with Nebula admitting she just wanted a sister to grow up around, hit me so hard! Drax and Mantis’ interactions were seriously hilarious! I appreciate Rocket way more on my 2nd watching! I loved the compelling arc between him and Yondu! One of my favorite scene was when Groot helped them escape! Such a badass sequence!! However, Yondu’s death was astoundingly heartbreaking. I can’t believe I cried more than I did the first time watching it! The part where Quill realized that his true father was right in front of him the entire time was really captivating and emotional.

Overall, splendidly satisfying movie experience! Filled with love, teamwork, good humor, character development, action-adventure and great music! I can’t wait for Vol. 3! 😍

Meanwhile...

Gamora to Nebula: You will always be my sister.
Loki to Thor: You’re not my brother.

Really love the adoptive siblings storyline on MCU films 😅
